I Dr. Apoorva Pauranik (Indore) along with Dr. Harish Bhalla (New Delhi) are glad to invite you for a grand get together of alumni of M.G.M. Medical College, Indore on Sudnay the 3rd April 2011 at India International Center, New Delhi from 11.30 am to 1.30 pm. We shall be honoring the memory of eminent neurosurgeon Late Dr. A.D. Sehgal. Dr. Apoorva Pauranik will be delivering the first oration titled ‘Neurology, Arts and Humanities’. The emphasis will be on making better doctors with humanistic sensibilities aptitude and skills, through incorporation of a bit of subjects related to arts and humanities in medical curriculum and continuing medical education. The new board of directors of Medical Council of India has also indicated such an intention. We shall also be honoring three of our celebrity alumni on the occasion (1.) Dr. Ashok Walia, Hon’ble Health Minister Delhi (2) Dr. Mehmood Beg, MP and Ex. Heath Minister, J&K (3) Dr. Vinod Bhandari, Director, Sri Aurobindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore. Many selected member of Neuro-club New Delhi and eminent citizens in Delhi of Madhya Pradesh origin will also be present. Senior Neuroscientist, Padma Bhushan Dr. P.N. Tandon, Emeritus Professor, Neurosurgery (AIIMS, New Delhi) and President, National Brain Research Center (NBRC) Society has consented to be the presiding officer for the function.
